How many times have God’s children been hurt and offended? We may say, “I forgive, but will never forget.” When we say these words, we are holding a grudge under the false pretense of forgiving. Offenses will come, but they must not consume the heart. When a person dwells on offenses, there comes bitterness, envy, strife, jealousy, hatred, and anger. The list goes on and on. The joy of the Lord cannot dwell in an unforgiving heart. Jesus is our great example. He was falsely accused and crucified, He did no wrong, and yet...
